Maendeleo Chap Chap party leader Dr Alfred and his Wiper Democratic Movement counterpart Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka are not reading from different chapters as far as the Ukambani politics is concerned. While Kalonzo is hoping to be in the presidential race next year, Dr Mutua Mutua is thinking of a new political path after being Machakos County governor for two terms.
Well, Dr Mutua's recent statement clearly shows that the duo are not in good terms, politically. He started by appreciating the fact that for three decades, the people of Ukambani have been under the leadership of Kalonzo.
According to Dr Alfred Mutua, all during this time Kalonzo has been leading the the region, he has never initiated any development or empowerment programme in the region.
He argued that development and empowerment are two things that are not in Kalonzo's DNA. Having been separated with his wife, Lilian Nga'ng'a few months ago, netizens felt that Dr Alfred Mutua is not the right person to talk to Kalonzo about development. According to them, Dr Mutua's priority should be his family.
