Voting materials for the general election on August 9 will arrive in the country in their first shipment today. The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission Wafula's Chebukati asserts this.
Chebukati said that on Thursday, July 7, the Commission will receive the first batch from the designated printer.
He went on to say that in order to prevent tampering and interference with any voting-related materials, the ballots would be kept in a secure location.
He went on to say that he didn't believe the rumors that some votes would come from Uganda.
"Today we will receive a number of ballot papers, and they are not from Uganda or any other strange place, they are safe for the election, and there is nothing like extra ballot papers as some politicians have claimed," said Chebukati.
Let's stop deceiving Kenyans and conduct a peaceful election instead.
Chebukati claims that the printed ballots have unique security features.
