Hours after saying that he would skip the event, George Wajackoya, the presidential candidate for the Roots Party, made an unexpected appearance at the Catholic University of Eastern Africa for the discussion.
The presidential contender insisted in a statement to the press on Tuesday, July 26, that he would not step up to the podium unless all four candidates were seated on the same podium.
He accused the media of aiming to discredit his candidacy by placing him against David Mwaure of the Agano Party and dividing the contestants.
“I am not attending the debate unless we are four,” he insisted.
I shall only attend when given the opportunity to share the same podium with all the four presidential candidates period
