Among those who thronged to Ruto's Karen home included the Mama Mbogas from Dagoretti North constituency. According to the DP, who has been focused on the Bottom-Up economic approach, he urged the small-scale businesswomen to be of the army that will advance the inclusive economic transformation of our country.
He said this will act to unite and empower many hustlers as well creating millions of jobs for them. Among the legislators who accompanied the mama mboga's to Ruto's home included Nixon Korir (Lang’ata), John Kiarie (Dagoretti South), Millicent Omanga (Nairobi), Margaret Wanjiru (former Starehe MP), and Rigathi Gachagua of Mathira constituency.
This comes at a time William Ruto's frequent meetings at Karen seems to have caused jitters among some quarters inside government. The recent withdrawal of GSU officers from his Karen home opened up alleged inside intrigues on how the government was trying to stop those meetings, due to failure to adhere to covid-19 directives.
It was alleged that the GSU officers failed to stop the delegations from accessing the home as instructed, hence leading to their unceremonious exit. These allegations were, however, not verified.
Ruto has maintained that he is ready for any security officers that will be sent to guard his homes and will not complain.
