It's no longer a secret that the relationship between the President and his Deputy is far from smooth with the two leaders often clashing over several issues since they were re-elected in 2017.
Both leaders have remained silent on what transpired between the two that led to the fallout. There have been lots of speculation regarding the matter but non of the principals has opened up on the matter.
The President and his Deputy had vowed to support each other to hold the presidency for 10 Years each. However, reports have indicated that the President is no longer keen to support Ruto's presidential bid. Instead, the president is said to be keen on Odm leader Raila Odinga or one of One Kenya Alliance leaders to take over from him instead of His Deputy.
Attempts by religious leaders to mend the relationship have so far bore no fruits with Reports indicating the president is not keen on the Reconciliation talks.
Ruto's Ally Denis Itumbi has now shed some light on the behind-the-scenes happenings as far as the Reconciliation talks are concerned. Itumbi has alleged that the President has instructed his team to direct the Religious leaders to the DCI headquarters where they will be briefed on a Top Secret Dossier that contains the contents of what transpired behind the scenes that led to the breakdown in relations between the two premiers.
It's still unclear when they will be briefed.
