Deputy President William Ruto continues to travel the country to drum more support for his presidential bid in the coming general elections. In the company of his running mate Rigathi Gachagua, Ruto has toured several places to engage with the people. On Saturday, the two landed in Gachagua's hometown, Karatina, Mathira for their campaigns.

Ruto and Gachagua together with other Kenya Kwanza members received a heroic welcome. Thousands of people could be seen cheering the two as they landed in Karatina. Each of the people at least had a piece of a yellow cloth to signify they are members of UDA.
"Hamjambo? Ninaona mko chonjo sana. Na nyinyi mumeamua ama bado? Muneamua ama bado? Ni UDA ama si UDA? Kwanza Mimi nataka niwashukuru sana wangwana wa Mathira Kwa kutukaribisha hapa. Mimi nataka niwashukuru tena sana Kwa kukaribisha Kenya Kwanza hapa Mathira," Ruto said amid wild cheers from the big crowd.
