Sonko's Advice To Kenyans As He Flaunts Photos Of Uhuru And His Young Family

The former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has added his voice to those calling for an end in Gender Based Violence in the country.

Flaunting photos of the President's young family and his, Sonko said the important thing in the institution of marriage was respect.

"I thought I was the only one who married and started a family at an early age...kumbe tuko wengi.Hii mambo ni kujipanga mapema. Lakini pia tuheshimu wazazi wetu, mabibi zetu, na watoto wetu." He posted

Sonko said recent cases of domestic violence involving the killing of spouses, children and even parents like the case of the young man in Kisumu are extremely disturbing and it was apparent that we bring the bad culture to an end as Kenyans.

The former city boss offered his piece of advice to the Kenyan Youth on how to survive struggle and to keep the family intact.

"The only secret for survival of any marriage or relationship, when you wife ako juu wewe kuwa chini and vice versa. Ukikosa Sema pole and vice versa. Hasira hasara." He added.

Yesterday, the ODM leader Raila Odinga condemned the rising killings originating from of violence among young couples.

Raila in a statement urged the to find alternatives other than killing their lovers.

"This scourge must come to an end. The abnormality of these murders cannot become the normal No! If you cannot reconcile, then, leave and let live." He said.

Odinga called on a candid conversation to find ways of ending the scourge that has claimed lives of many Kenyans.

The last fewonths has been disturbing for the country which has seen a rise in the number of deaths from Gender based violence.
