Gideon Moi has sparked reactions online after he revealed his next political big step after he signed a pact with Azimio la Umoja of One Kenya Coalition Party ahead of the 2022 General Election. The senator from Baringo had remained silent on whether he would run for re-election because he was reportedly eyeing a national position if Raila was elected president.

Gideon Moi, under the Azimio la Umoja party, said he will defend his Baringo Senatorial seat under the party. He will compete with William Cheptumo, who's under the UDA Party.

According to the plan, Gideon will keep his seat. Gideon Moi and William Ruto have been battling over the past few years to control the Right Valley region, and surely this will be a tight competition.
Kenyans online reacted by guessing why Gideon Moi decided to run for the seat. Some said he wouldn't defeat Cheptumo, while some thought it was really a good move.
