Former President Uhuru Kenyatta's appointees are in panic mode after observing the latest doings by President William Ruto, it is emerging.
Ruto has been on a purge against Uhuru's men, and has been rearranging the government to fit his liking, which is also seen as a way of punishing Uhuru men.
It's reported that the same is expected to continue, causing panic among those still holding office, a number of whom are now rushing to resign.
The Daily Nation has established that the ambassadors Uhuru left behind are Ruto's next targets, as he tries to come up with his own team.
Among those who have already resigned is Communications Authority of Kenya (CA) board chairman Gilbert Kibe, after his replacement with controversial businesswoman Mary Wambui.
But he told the paper that he "made a personal decision to resign," even as sources said that he was asked to leave in favour of Wambui.
Ruto has also been seen kicking out those who openly campaigned against him before the August poll, the biggest figure being former Interior Principal Secretary Karanja Kibicho.
He accused the team of being involved in politics despite their offices demanding neutrality, further accusing them of aiding with state capture.
