Regarding the new cabinet of president William Ruto, political experts, commentators, and other stakeholders have expressed their opinions. Both acclaim and criticism have been directed towards the new cabinet.
Nerima Wako, a political analyst, and management specialist is one of the major opinion leaders who has attacked president William Ruto's administration. Wako, who talked to KTN television, claimed that Ruto's selection of the cabinet could be a political error that could harm his chances of winning re-election in 2022.
Eight million (8M) registered voters did not cast a ballot, according to Wako. The youth make up a bigger portion of individuals who did not vote.
Wako thinks that Ruto could have taken advantage of this occasion to persuade more people, particularly young people to vote for him in 2027. " More young people are being added to the cabinet by Ruto.
"The youths needed a special ministry created for them. They are the majority. Yet this has not happened," said Wako. She added that Ruto's failure to create a youths Ministry or appoint more youths to the cabinet will continuously make the youths sidelined and increase apathy in voting.
