These political leaders includes, ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi,KANU leader Gideon Moi Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka,ODM leader Raila Odinga and the deputy president William Ruto. It's hence important to ask oneself, who enjoys the massive surppot in the region, how and why and it can be said that the two leaders are among equals in the region, this is because:

3. Ruto in the region enjoys the support of the residence while Raila is being imposed on the region hence giving the two leaders the same heavy weight. This can be seen where Raila is accompanied by many central leaders while Ruto is being accompanied just a handful leaders.

4. The two leaders are Keen to picking their running mates from the central region. The deputy president has been closely link with the national speaker Justin. Mituri as the preferred candidate,Kirinyaga governor Ann Waiguru among other key leaders from the region, while opposition chief Raila Odinga has also been linked to Meru governor Kiraitu Murungi,NARK leader Martha Karua among other leaders from the central region.
