Senator Christopher Langat of Bomet has decided to run as a United Democratic Alliance member rather than as an independent. Dr. Langat has withdrawn from the run for re-election as a senator after promising to offer the existing deputy president, DR William Ruto, his full support. Vice President William Ruto's candidacy has also received Dr. Langat's backing. The DP greeted DR Langat with warmth and showed trust in him.
DR Langat has decided to join UDA after a thorough conversation with the Azimio presidential team last week. Langat was in touch with the Azimio team at all times. He's subsequently changed his mind, abandoning both his political ties to the squad and his contract with Azimio. After joining the United Democratic Party (UDA), he promised to run a strong campaign for the incumbent Democratic Party (DP). According to Dr. Langat, the Democratic Party will win the upcoming election.
