The Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen has come forward to be among the first people to respond to the statement given today. The head of public service Joseph Kinywa has given a statement regarding the security status in the country.
He gave the guidelines which should be followed by those who intend to hold public rallies, and he also gave the guidelines on what they will say and not say. This is intended to tame those politicians who are always making bad speeches which can easily be interpreted by the citizens in different ways. This has been witnessed in the past where politicians make statements which tend to express some form of hate.
He also spoke about the incitement by politicians following the bad scene which was witnessed in Murang'a last Sunday. Murkomen seems to dispute the composition of the the committee that came up up the report. This is what he tweeted.
'There is no such legal/Constitutional body known as National Security Advisory Committee. Assuming there was one then it would only advice the National Security Council.NSC cannot obviously meet because of internal fights among its members.Stop playing politics with our security' Murkomen posted.
