One of the leading thinkers criticizing President William Ruto's cabinet is political analyst and management expert Nerima Wako. According to Wako, who spoke to KTN News, Ruto's cabinet selection could be a political blunder that could jeopardize his 2027 re-election bid.

Political analysts, commentators, and other stakeholders have given their views on President William Ruto's new cabinet. The new cabinet drew both praise and criticism.

Eight million (8M) registered voters abstained, according to Wako. The majority of abstentions are young people.
Wako said that Ruto can use this opportunity to encourage more people, especially the youth, to vote in 2027. "By appointing more youthful groups to the cabinet, Ruto can get the support of many young people to vote, mostly In 2027," he said.

"We need a special ministry for the youth. They are the majority. But that didn't happen," said Wako. He also said that Ruto's failure to create a youth ministry or appoint more youths to the cabinet will continue to alienate the youth and increase voter apathy.
