President William Ruto holds talks with his Ukrainian counterpart President Volodymyr Zelensky

The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has revealed that he held talks with Kenyan President Dr. William Ruto. Through his twitter account, President Volodymyr stated that the two had discussed issues of cooperation between the two nations.

"I had a fruitful conversation with President William Ruto. I thanked him for constructive cooperation in the UN, and for his support as a UN Security Council member. We also discussed the grain from Ukraine initiative, food security and the creation of grain hubs in Africa. Agreed to enhance cooperation!" Read Volodymyr tweet on Thursday 12th, Jan 2023.

The two heads of states agreed among other things to enhance food security in Africa.

The President Ruto - Volodymyr conversations come at a time when a large number of Kenyans are going through starvation due to lack of food as a result of draught that has hit the country.

In his government plans, President Ruto has promised to enhance food production and Security as a way of providing lasting solutions to kenyans.
