President William Ruto's team of Cabinet Secretaries have been called to make consultations from the opposition. Wiper Democratic Movement Party chairman Chirau Ali Makwere has urged the team appointed by President William Ruto on Tuesday to make frequent consultations with members of the opposition because by doing so they are likely to achieve more with less opposition.
The veteran politician popularly known as Zipapa opined that there are brilliant ideas hanging around in the opposition which could of great assistance to the achievement of their objective. Makwere however asked the Cabinet Secretaries to be careful not to deviate from their manifestos even as they bring the opposition closer for consultations.
"Consult even those in the opposition because by so doing they will achieve more and have less opposition. There are so many brilliant ideas hanging around. Bring them closer but of course they should not divert from what appears in their manifesto"- Makwere said.
President William Ruto has been on record saying that he wants a vibrant opposition to keep his administration in check and even ruled out any handshake between him and his main opponents in the just concluded August General elections.
