Former Kiambu County Governor, William Kabogo, has offered President Uhuru Kenyatta a piece of advice as he retires in August this year. After serving for two 5 year terms, the Head of State is expected to hang up his boots by August.
However, with the President going home in the next seven months, he is spending his time planning on who will be succeeding him.
But Kabogo, who was having an interview with one of the local TV stations, advised President Uhuru Kenyatta to stop thinking about who will be succeeding him but instead focus on leaving a prosperous and peaceful country.
“If I were Uhuru Kenyatta, I would not be concerned about who comes after me. I would consider leaving this country in a more peaceful and prosperous state,” Kabogo stated.
Though it is not yet clear on whom President Uhuru will support for presidency, it seems that he has chosen former Prime Minister Raila Odinga as his favorite successor.
