Tanga Tanga MP Does This Unthinkable Thing to His Fellow Youths

Youthful Kimilili Member of Parliament Didmus Barasa has wowed the hearts of Kenyans after he enrolled tens of youths in his constituency to a driving school.

Mr Barasa who took to popular social media platform Twitter on Wednesday said that he will sponsor for the training of 50 boda boda youths.

The youths according to the MP will be drawn across all the wards in his constituency and will be enrolled at the AA Driving School.

“Today, I’ve enrolled 50 boda boda riders across all the wards within my constituency in @AAKenya driving school to acquire necessary riding skills Road safety of my constituents is dear to me. The most common means of transport being motorcycles, it’s important to have trained and qualified riders to avoid unnecessary accidents,” tweeted the MP.

Last Saturday, AA Kenya announced resumption of practical driving classes countrywide after they were halted in the wake of Covid-19 pandemic.

“We are pleased to let you know that we have resumed practical driving classes at all our branches countrywide. We have ensured to follow all the regulations and standards set by the Ministry of health to #stopcovid19. Register for driving classes ongoing,” read a statement from AA Kenya.

Meanwhile, the Jubilee lawmaker has lauded the directive by President Uhuru Kenyatta to open up the country's borders saying that it is in best interest of the country.

According to Mr Barasa who is a close ally of Deputy President William Ruto and considered as his point man in Bungoma County, Kenyans have been undergoing through tough and harsh economic times throughout the period lockdown had been enforced.
