Deputy President William Ruto's key ally, Rigathi Gachagua has faulted Mount Kenya leaders who convened a meeting in Naivasha ahead of the 2022 general elections. This was while the Mathira MP was attending an interview in K24
According to Rigathi Gachagua, he has indicated that all those people who attended that meeting met to discuss their interest, not the interest of the people of Mount Kenya Region.
According to Rigathi, the only people who should speak on behalf of the people of Mount Kenya is the current elected leaders who know the problem their people are facing, not former politicians who hold no political seat thus they do not represent any Kenyan
"The people who speak for the people of Mount Kenya are the people who were elected, i speak for the people of Mathira, same way Alice is speaking for the people of Kandara. These other people are speaking for their groups, not Mount Kenya," Rigathi Gachagua indicated
If that was not enough, the key ally of Deputy President William Ruto has declared that Martha Karua is not the spokesperson for the people of Mount Kenya ahead of the next elections since she does not hold any political seat since she was last elected in 2007
