Herman Manyora, a professor at the University of Nairobi, made the claim on his YouTube channel during an interview with journalist Jadiel Kabiro regarding the one issue that Raila Odinga as a political leader is currently dealing with.

Manyora was upset that Raila Odinga is allegedly trying to decide who gets what out of the Ksh 300 million that the Political Parties Fund (PPF) has allocated to the ODM, as well as distributing positions for the Parliamentary Service Commission (PSC). Manyora has called these matters petty and has vowed that Baba must never get involved in them.
When asked if Raila Odinga was a dictator, Manyora responded that he wasn't but that his reputation was being tarnished because he has a big problem with listening to those under him who are pursuing their own interests.
"What hurt Raila is that he listens to people who have self-interests. Raila is not a dictator,"he said.
