Kapsoit Member of County Assembly (MCA) Hon. Paul Chirchir alias 'Tarimbo' has attacked Kericho County Assembly Speaker Hon. Dominic Rono following the latest Court of Appeal ruling on the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI).
The incumbent Kapsoit MCA has accused the County Speaker for betraying Deputy President William Ruto. His post on his Facebook page read, "Kericho Speaker is a traitor who betrayed H.E. William Samoei Ruto and sold the community on BBI".
Several months ago, President Uhuru Kenyatta promised a Kshs. 2M car grants to every ward representative in a bid to pass the now thrown out Building Bridges Initiative (BBI). This saw a huge section of Ward Representatives vote in the docket into contention for a constitutional amendment.
The County Speaker Hon. Dominic Rono is however yet to respond to the allegations made by the incumbent Kapsoit MCA. Dominic was among the leaders from Kericho County to be feted at the recent GALA Awards Ceremony.
