Uasin Gishu: "They Didn't Block Road Like You Did In Kieni" MP Kega Mocked As Eldoret Welcomes Raila

Kieni Member of Parliament James Mathenge alias Kanini Kega has found himself at crossroads after Kenyans on social media scoffed at him after Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga was warmly welcomed in Eldoret town on Friday.

This follows Kanini Kega commended the residents of Eldoret and the entire Uasin Gishu county for exhibiting maturity during Raila's Friday visit. The netizens were reacting to his Facebook message after he expressed gratitude to the results over their generosity and tranquility.

They rushed to comments section to ridicule the legislator by calling on him to take note of the maturity of the residents and learn lessons from it. He was reminded of an incident that took place in his constituency in the past where deputy president Dr William Ruto was heckled and stoned while at a development and political tour.

The netizens urged Kanini Kega to manup and foster maturity in his politics as displayed by the locals of Uasin Gishu county.

"We in Eldoret don't block roads with murram at night. We welcome all," one of the netizens identified as Kiplagat Laban commented.

Here are the screenshots of the reactions:

In his message on Friday evening, the vocal Kieleweke lawmaker happily wished Kenyans a good night and quipped that he would sleep soundly because of the peace and affection accorded to the former prime minister in Eldoret.

"Good night Eldoret. I will sleep like a baby," read Kanini Kega's message.

This comes after Raila and his allies visited Uasin Gishu county on Friday. They stopped at Eldoret town where they drummed up support for their unity calls and 2022 political course. They were thunderously received despite the area being Dr Ruto's hometurf.
