
Former Mathira member of parliament Rigathi Gachagua is the current deputy president of Kenya, he hails from Nyeri county in the larger Mount Kenya region.
The deputy president has been in Nyandarua county today, one of the counties that make up the Mount Kenya region. While addressing the attendees, Rigathi Gachagua who is popularly known as Riggy G praised president William Ruto saying that they (Mount Kenya region) never signed any Memorandum during the campaigns so that they can support him, the president has however proved to be royal to the region by giving them the most cabinet secretaries and principal secretaries appointments.
Gachagua added that the decision of the president made some people to take him to court, Gachagua wonders why the president cannot favor the region yet they gave him majority of the votes. Gachagua assuared the people that in the remaining appointments, Ruto will also favor the Mount Kenya region, he listed some names like Muchiri, Kamau, Njoroge, Njeri as the names which will be mentioned in the appointments.
