Bungoma: Why Governor Wangamati May Soon Be Impeached

Bungoma county governor Wycliffe Wafula Wangamati may soon be facing rough things as his relationship with the Members of the County Assembly turns sour each passing day. A lot of misunderstandings between the governor and the county MCAs have been experienced which poses a great doubt for the governor's future career.

Why governor Wangamati may soon be impeached.

First, the office of the governor has been listed among the counties which misused millions disturbed for the purpose of dealing with corona virus pandemic. County MCAs have been lamenting about the county's decision that involved purchasing 20 litre jerrycan for a whooping sh 10,000 per single piece.

Secondly, there is a strained relationship between the county governor and the MCAs over certain important issues. One the issues have been failing to cater for the car grants of the MCAs as the governor maintains there is no budget allocated for them.

Thirdly, Bungoma county MCAs have recently accused the governor for keeping a deaf ear on most of their grievances. They allege that whenever the governor is summoned to shed more light and provide more explanations concerning some activities done by his office administration, he never shows up.

According to the county MCAs, the governor has neglected them despite them being the law making arm of the county government. As we are talking, the MCAs are in the process of hatching a plan that may soon see the county boss impeached.
