Former Kiambu governor Waititu was among those who accompanied deputy president to Laikipia for his campaigns. When given the chance to address the people, Waititu attacked Orange Democratic Movement leader Raila Odinga saying they are not going to elect him no matter what.
He said that the United Democratic Alliance is open for anyone to join. He also said that leaders will only be elected if they ail from the UDA party.
"Anyone is free to join UDA and all of us in Kiambu are people of UDA party. If anyone wants to be elected he must join UDA. We don't fear even of we are beaten by Matiang'i or the police or by Kibicho. We will still not vote for Raila Odinga," Waititu said.
