Division and betrayal are brewing in president William Ruto's camp after a tug of war broke out amongst Kenya Kwanza's senior leaders.
According to Nation, in the recently ended bi-elections, the representative for Murang'a Women, Ms. Betty Maina, accused Cabinet Secretary for Water, Sanitation and Irrigation Alice Wahome of being a traitor.
Miss Maina was astonished to see that Wahome had not backed any candidates in the search for her replacement after accusing her of being a plumber rather than the water CS.
Wahome defended herself by claiming that because she is a Murang'a voter, she is not permitted by law to support any candidate in the Kandara by-election.
Despite assertions to the contrary, there is ongoing conflict involving Nairobi governor Johnson Sakaja and deputy president Rigathi Gachagua in addition to Maina and Wahome.
Gachagua claimed that he is the vice president and that matatu drivers should not obey any orders from Sakaja in an interview with Inooro.
