Questions Emerge as Governor Nyon'go Arrives in Kakamega For Official Launch of This Project(Photos)

Kisumu County Governor Professor Peter Anyang' Nyong'o has this morning, 12th July 2021, arrived in Kakamega County for a high profile meeting.

Nyon'go has arrived in Kakamega for a meeting between LREB Governors and the Swedish Ambassador to Kenya.

The meeting is also purposed to see the leaders witness the official launch of a fish processing factory in Kakamega county.

Once commissioned, the factory will be exporting fish to European Union (EU) Countries.

During his arrival to Kakamega County for the meeting, Governor Nyon'go was received a Guard of Honor as he was rrceived by the County Boss, Hon Wycliffe Oparanya.

Earlier on before Governor Nyon'go's arrival, Governor Oparanya received the Swedish Ambassador to Kenya, H.E Caroline Vicini who is the chief guest in the event.

Other leaders who have also joined during the ceremony are Devolution CS Hon Eugene Wamalwa, Governors, dignitaries and other guests.

The move to launch the launch of a fish processing factory in Kakamega county instead of the counties which border Lake Victoria like Kisumu, Homabay has raised lots of questions among Kenyans.

Many have questioned the decision stating that transporting fish to Kakamega fir processing rather than having the factory in counties that practice fishing is not a well thought move.
