President Uhuru Kenyatta has been the head of state for 2 terms. Amongst the things that President Uhuru ensured during his two terms was to increase the number of State Lodges in the country.

State Lodges are like small State Houses whereby President can spend a time there while on official duty and is only reserved for the President
The latest State Lodge in the country is Kisii State Lodge which was gazetted during the annual Mashujaa Day Celebrations by Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i. Other State Lodges are located in Garissa, Sagana, Kisumu, Eldoret, Rurumuti and Kakamega

About Kisii State Lodge, it is Milimani Estate adjacent to Kisii Sports Club. It sits on a 5 acres of land which has with it two mega mansions. One mansion is for the president whereas the other one is for the President's security since the premises is guarded 24/7.

A huge fraction of Kisii State Lodge is covered by green grass as well as huge trees which come in handy with a cool breeze. It is sorrounded by electric fences which tighten the security.
