As the General Elections nears, political realignments are taking shape as defectors are joining new parties. Raila Odinga and Ruto have remained the top presidential seat contenders. The two have won big in the last few weeks as the majority of local leaders have been joining their camps.
ODM had received detectors from Embu, Narok, Marsabit, and Tharaka-Nithi Counties. The ODM leader received the defectors at Chungwa House, In Nairobi, and confirmed the ODM party is happy to have new members. The six Coastal region Governors including Kwale's Salim Mvurya, Dhadho Godhana, and Granton Samboja had already assured Raila Odinga of their support.
UDA And Ruto is Also Winning Big
Governor Waiguru and 6 other MPs in Mount Kenya are the latest to join the UDA party camp. The leaders say the ground has shifted with the UDA party and there is no need to continue staying in Jubilee Party. The MPs included Thika Town MP Patrick Wainaina and Githunguri MP Gabriel Kago who were the ones in the Kieleweke wing of the Jubilee party.
The service Party(TSP) has been the recent victim as its members including the organizing secretary have crossed over to join the UDA party
