Lawyer and Political Expert Warungu Mwangi has claimed that the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Alliance boss Raila Odinga has been in his longest political slumber between 2018 and 2022 when he had the handshake with the Former President Uhuru Kenyatta, since he did not talk about electoral injustices as the opposition leader.
According to the Lawyer who spoke on Wednesday with K24 TV, he argued that what Raila is doing now, proposing demonstrations and protests, is coming too late when the August 9th polls are done and dusted.
In his view, Warungu said that Raila is trying to re-engineer himself to the Raila who Kenyans knew in the past after most citizens lost trust in him owing to the close relationship he had with Uhuru where he kept mum on the failures of the Jubilee government.
"Raila's blueprint of politics is mass action, whether that has yielded results is a question and argument of another day. He happened to have taken the longest slumber of his political decade when he had the handshake and never fought for electoral justice."
"He's now using this card when its too late. We have undergone an election which has been viewed globally and locally as the most peaceful. He's pushing these things when it is too late," said Mwangi.
