Odinga has pulled political allies from other regions closer to him than those from his Nyanza background with his Azimio la Umoja campaign which was initiated to adjust his previous political tactics and to influence more voters. Odinga made several adjustments to his inner circle according to ODM Chairman John Mbadi, with a motive to align himself with the unity that he gives weight in his campaigns.Currently,President Uhuru Kenyatta's allies are on top board of Mr Odinga's campaign team .“Raila has acquired new political friends who work with him in talking of Azimio la Umoja and other previous allies like Mbadi also still remain around him.
In Raila Odinga's recent campaigns in the Mt Kenya region, the new members of his inner circle took to the show.The top list include; Governors Wycliffe Oparanya , Lee Kinyanjui , James Ongwae (Kisii), Hassan Joho (Mombasa), Nderitu Muriithi (Laikipia), MP Kanini Kega (Kieni), MP Maina Kamanda (Nominated), MP Abdulswamad Nassir (Mvita),MP Stanley Muthama ,Former Gatanga MP Peter Kenneth, Businessman S.K Macharia and, ODM secretary general Edwin Sifuna. Odinga's presidential efforts received a major boost on October 20 when Governors from Mount Kenya East confirmed their support for him in his state house bid.Tharaka Nithi Governor Muthomi Njuki, who had been torn between Odinga and William Ruto, is the most recent to join the alliance.all these political leaders are most placed to compose his regime.
