Governor of Siaya James Orengo has requested a meeting with Raila Odinga from President William Ruto.
On January 14, at Eliud Owalo, ICT Cabinet Secretaryhomecoming ,'s ceremony in Siaya, Orengo indicated that the action will help to bring the nation together after the general election of 2017.
President, please. I'm requesting this from you in an inclusive manner rather than a handshake manner. Because the elections are done, I implore you to join your brother Raila Amolo Odinga at the table of brotherhood, Orengo said to Ruto.
He further disclosed that he was requested to welcome President Ruto to Siaya County by the previous prime minister.
"I spoke to Raila Amolo Odinga, and he said I should send on his word of welcome and that you should feel at home," Governor Orengo continued.
The opposition leader is being cared for by the Kenya Kwanza government, according to remarks made by deputy president Rigathi Gachagua the day before.
The election time is over, and we have no issues with Baba. Only when hunting for power did we run into issues. As a respected Kenyan leader, President William Ruto provides Baba with cars and protection, according to Gachagua, who spoke on January 13 in Homa Bay.
