Wangui Ngirici, the Women Representative for Kirinyaga County, once challenged Governor Anne Waiguru to switch from Jubilee to Dr William Ruto's United Democratic Alliance party and compete against her in the party's primary.
The flamboyant Member of Parliament suplied that she is well prepared and ready to square off against the sitting governor in Thiba ward of Mwea Constituency, oozing confidence that she will win.
Ngirici was reacting to Governor Anne Waiguru's previous remarks during a morning TV appearance, which hinted at her joining Ruto's hustler nation and movement camps.
Kirinyaga governor Anne Waiguru has allegedly joined United Democratic Alliance, UDA after meeting with Deputy President William Ruto at his official Karen residence.
Waiguru, who is currently meeting with Ruto behind closed doors, was accompanied by a slew of (more than twenty) county assembly members from her county.
The governor recently stated her intention to leave President Uhuru Kenyatta's camp and formally join Ruto's hustler nation movement.
The former Devolution Cabinet Secretary, who has had an on-again, off-again relationship with the DP, stated a month ago that she will listen and do extensive consultations with electorates before making a decision on the way forward for the August 2022 general election.
This is however, a new setback for Deputy President Dr. William Ruto as the two flamboyant female politicians clash ahead of the party primaries.
Wangui Ngirici, also running for the Kirinyaga Gubernatorial seat under the UDA party in 2022, is now ready to square off with Anne Waiguru in party norminations.
The Woman Representative, Wangui Ngirici previously stated that she will ensure that Deputy President William Ruto, a member of the United Democratic Alliance party, receives enough votes from the Mt Kenya region to win the presidency.
