In order to fulfill all he promised Kenyans in his platform, President William Ruto is up to the task. Additionally, Raila Odinga and his supporters have stated that they will hold him accountable to ensure that he follows the law in making significant choices.
Ruto has chosen significant positions.
Along with Police IG Mr. Japhet Koome, he has chosen his cabinet members.
Now, in a novel turn, Ruto has been sued.A consulting trauma and general surgeon named Dr. Magare Gikenyi has filed a lawsuit against President Ruto for what he claims was an illegal nomination of IG.
Dr. Magare contends that the National Police Service ought to make the nomination rather than the President.
As a result, Aden Duale was compelled to defend Ruto this morning. According to Duale, the constitution mandates that the president appoint the IG, followed by the parliament's ratification. He contends that the National Police Service Act further specifies this. Will a judge overturn Ruto's appointment?
