The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party founder and the Deputy President William Ruto might eventually have no his running mate from Mt Kenya region. Although Deputy President William Ruto has many allies from the region, the chances of him having one as his preferred running mate are low.
According to the source, the reason behind this is that most of Deputy President William Ruto's allies are from the Mountain region are not ready to risk their current seat to deputize him.
The source has also revealed that Deputy President William Ruto's closest ally, Rigathi Gachagua, has already opts out of William Ruto's running mate list.
The source explained that member of Parliament Rigathi Gachagua will defend his current Mithira seat.
However, Deputy President William Ruto is yet to make it clear when and where he will pick his running mate from.
