The leaders unanimously agreed to support William Kabogo gubernatorial candidature after a breakfast consultative meeting with him in Kiambu county.
" I'm humbled by the unanimous declaration made by these leaders to support my gubernatorial candidature during the upcoming general election" said William Kabogo.
The leaders discussed in several issues affecting the county and the larger Muslim community. They also agreed on several areas of cooperation with the gubernatorial candidate Kabogo after winning the seat in August polls.
" This morning I was delighted to share a cup of tea with Kiambu county Muslim forum leaders who called on me to discuss their issues. We have agreed on several areas of cooperation once I'm elected to office in August this year" added Kabogo.
The Tujibebe Wakenya candidate has picked Madam Esther Ndirangu as his running mate for the August elections. Madam Esther Ndirangu served as a county executive member for education and social services during William Kabogo's tenure as the first governor of Kiambu county.
Other gubernatorial candidates includes; senator Kimani Wamatangi ( UDA party), Moses Kuria ( Chama Cha Kazi), James Nyoro ( Jubilee party) and Patrick Wanaina ( Independent candidate).
