Jill Biden, the spouse to Joe Biden, toured Africa for the first time since assuming the office of the First lady. She landed in Windhoek, Namibia, on 22nd February where she stayed days before coming to Kenya.
On Friday, the First lady together with her entourage which included her granddaughter Naomi Biden touch down where she received a warm reception. She was welcomed by her counterpart Rachel Ruto with dances and smiles before heading to the statehouse.
Jill's tour to Kenya will see them discuss matters to do with security, shared democracy, youths, and women. Although her visit is largely viewed as a tactic to counter Russia and China's growing influence in Kenya.
Kenyans on Twitter, have been thrilled after what Rachel Ruto was spotted doing to the US First lady at the statehouse. According to a picture shared by a UDA-inclined influencer, Rachel Ruto served Jill Biden opposite to the norm of Servants doing it.
"Nice lesson from Mama Rachel Ruto! When visitors come to your home, you serve them a meal. You don't use kids or maids. This reminds me of my MOTHER; she will let our housegirl serve us, but when it comes to serving our FATHER, she'll do it herself." Bianca tweeted
Netizens took it to the comment section to heap praise on Rachel for serving as a role model.
