Busia Senator Okiya Omtatah, has spoken out after attending a meeting that brought together leaders drwan from Busia, Kakamega, Bungoma, Vihiga, and Transzoia counties. The meeting was also attended by Luyha leaders who got elected in Nairobi City county.
Taking to his social media pages, Omtatah who got elected on the National Reconstruction Alliance (NRA) revealed that the meeting majorly discussed about the unity of the Luhya Nation and how resources can be shared between their counties.
"Joined Parliamentarians from the Western Region for a consultative breakfast meeting with CS MusaliaMudavadi yesterday. We discussed and agreed on unity of purpose by leaders, and the sharing of national resources for the region's social-economy development." The activist turned lawmaker posted on his social media pages.
The meeting was attended by politicians from across the political divide incuding Raila's party Orange Democratic Movement and Eugene Wamalwa's Democratic Action party which are under Azimio La Umoja-One Kenya coalition party.
