Ruto's Presidential Bid in Trouble After Plot Hatched Against Him Emerges

Deputy president William Ruto's presidential ambitions are in trouble after an elaborate scheme planned against him emerged on Monday.

According to the Nation news source, strategists of President Uhuru and Raila are plotting to field a joint presidential candidate in the upcoming general election, so that DP Ruto doesn't stand a chance.

The strategists are also plotting to negotiate on common parliamentary aspirants, to make sure Uhuru and Raila's team send enough representatives to the August House come 2022.

Sources say the Uhuru- Raila team are hoping to have majority numbers in parliament after next year, to enable a smooth appointment of a PM via the parliamentary route.

Currently, the strategists are said to be negotiating with the Party of National Unity linked to Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Peter Munya, the Upya Movement for Northern Kenya outfit led by Treasury CS Ukur Yatani and Ubuntu People’s Forum of Nakuru Governor Lee Kinyanjui to come up with a strong team ahead of the general election.
