The Deputy President on Tuesday met with several UDA aspirants from central and Kenya and Ukambani counties including Murang'a, Kirinyaga, Embu, Kiambu, Machakos, Kitui, and Makueni at his Karen resistance in Nairobi.
The Deputy President was strategizing with his allies how the United Democratic Alliance will clinch victory in the upcoming 2022 general elections after decamping from the Jubilee Party.
While delivering his speech, the second in command thanked all those who attended the event saying they made the right decision to join the UDA party. He said as the team leader of the UDA Party, he wants all party members to be knowledgeable of where the party is and where it is heading to.
He took a swipe at ODM and Suna East Member of Parliament Hon Junet Mohamed, who has been quoted on several occasions saying that he will continue to follow his party leader Raila Odinga the way cows usually follow each other.
Dp Ruto said he doesn't want anyone to follow him like cows rather he wants everyone to make the right decision where they will all agree to follow one direction as a party.
"I want this team to be knowledgeable where we are. There are people who say they are cows to other leaders. I don't want any cow, some people are following others blindly, I don't want anyone to follow me blindly " Dp Ruto said.
