David Murathe has dismissed allegations that he was actively involved in the 2020 KEMSA Scandal after fresh reports from Parliament have revealed that his Kilig Limited company was awarded kshs 4.5 billion tenders to supply Covid-19 materials, early in 2020.
In a report by Citizen Tv, David Murathe has now claimed that it is indeed sad and unfortunate that media houses have colluded by some political figures to furnish his image. He has however reported that he doesn't have any legal ownership or any relationship with the said Kilig limited, after revealing that he only acted as a guarantor.
Murathe's sentiments come hours after Members of Parliament were angered by his decision on failing to appear before the health committee.
"KEMSA tender probe: MPs angered after Jubilee Party vice-chair Murathe fails to appear. Murathe only filed an affidavit before the Public Investments Committee. Murathe linked to Kilig limited that was awarded Ksh.4B contract. Murathe says he was only a guarantor for Kilig Limited," Citizen Reports.
At the same time, Citizen Tv has now reported that after conducting a telephone interview with David Murathe has now established that allies of Deputy President William Ruto were the real beneficiary of the scandal. This is after Murathe Maintained that Ruto's wife was involved in the dirty game.
