Thank you again my dear readers and welcome warmly to my daily news updates.
Today Nyeri Town Member of Parliament Ngunjiri Wambugu has defended Trade Investment and Industry Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria concerning the importation of Genetically Modified Organisms(GMO).
"No way that it is Moses Kuria who made a decision of importing maize. It must have been discussed by the cabinet. The cabinet chaired by President William Ruto and all CSs were present. Let's not target Kuria." He lamented.
It is alleged that a ship containing 10 million bags of maize arrived in Mombasa yesterday. This is something that led to different reactions amongst many Kenyan legislators. Most of them warned that will look for signatures in a bid to remove Moses Kuria from the Trade Investment and Industry docket.
Legislators mostly from the Rift Valley argued that the importation of maize will affect maize farmers as the prices might reduce drastically.
