The 2022 general elections is fast approaching. A number of candidates have made their intention to vie for the seat known. The current member of parliament Honourable Noxon Korir will also seek to retain his seat.
Others gunning for the seat include: Phelix Odiwour popularly known as Jalango, former Gor Mahia treasurer Sally Bolo and flamboyant city lawyer Silas Jakakimba. Sally will be optimistic of tapping the votes of supporters of her former employer who reside within the constituency.
Radio presenter Phelix Odiwour recently joined the Orange democratic movement party. He will banking on the endorsement of the youths. He has been seen carrying out philanthropic across the constituency in a bid to gain mileage.
Silas Jakakimba a close ally of former prime minister is also in the race. He has previously served as a personal assistant to the Party leader and this might give him an upper hand in this contest.
Lastly the incumbent Korir a close associate of the deputy president William Ruto, has joined the United Democratic Alliance. Having been previously elected on a jubilee ticket, it will be interesting to see if he will emerge victorious.
