Nyeri is one of the counties where President William Ruto got many votes in the just concluded August general election. It is a place where not only Ruto won but almost all the other leaders vying for different elective positions under Ruto's UDA party won.
For that reason, President William Ruto was free and felt at home today as he joined Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua in mourning his brother in a burial ceremony that had many Kenya Kwanza leaders.
Although many leaders didn't get a chance to speak, Mathira MP Eric Wamumbi was among the few leaders who were lucky to get a chance to speak and midway through his speech, the bold Eric Wamumbi thanked the Head of State for the subsidized fertilizer but still, went ahead to give Ruto another plea.
Eric Wamumbi told the Commander in Chief that Mathira residents are suffering because they don't have water and thus, he asked Ruto for his government to solve water problems in Mathira constituency.
