The selecting panel for the next Chief Justice of Kenya has revealed that the exercise will kick off tomorrow but with never seen the process. According to Ann Amadi, the process will be done outdoor concerning Covid-19 protocols. This she says will play a key role in ensuring that Covid-19 I well contained through the vigorous process.
She also added that only one person will be interviewed per day to extensively give the said person an opportunity to express themselves and get interviewed by the panelists extensively. There are close to 5 Kenyans who have shown interest in the top seat.
So far the debate on whether Philomena Mwilu should be on the selecting panel has continued to elicit a mixed reaction, days after one of the contenders insisted that her presence could affect the outcome of the process because of conflicts in interests. The seat was declared vacant after the term of Maraga came to an end.
