The vocal Kirinyaga women representative Hon Ngirici Wangui has invited the Kirinyaga governor Anne Waiguru to face her in a free and fair nomination exercise which is slated to be held in the few weeks before election. Ngirici who is a key competitor with the current governor is eyeing to succeed governor Waiguru in the coming 2022 general election. According to her, she revealed that she is more vocal in the region as she has stood with the deputy president for long when her political rivals like Ann Waiguru were out of tanga-tanga faction. However her trust to the UDA party nomination are seen to have deteriorated as she revealed today that she will "jump the fence" if she will not secure a UDA nomination ticket because she is not "tethered to the party like a goat". Ngirici revealed that the grassroot voters have a "thirst" to which she will quench when she clinch to power.
