The IEBC cleared the independent candidate in Nguu Masumba ward by election Mr. Timothy Maneno after a high court ruling. The vibrant candidate was initially barred by IEBC from vying for the ward seat. The ward seat was left vacant after the death of the area MCA Harris Ngui early this year.
Today Makueni governor Kivutha Kibwana led campaign brigade for the independent candidate Mr. Timothy Maneno. The campaign brigade addressed several rallies in the ward. A good number of local residents warmly welcomed the campaign brigade led by governor Kivutha Kibwana.
The independent candidate is facing stiff competition from Wiper candidate Mr. Eshio Mwaiwa and UDA candidate. Wiper campaign brigade have camped in the ward to campaign for their candidate Mr. Eshio Mwaiwa. Wiper campaign brigade is led by Makueni senator Mutula Kilonzo Junior and other Wiper allied leaders.
