Today the deputy president has openly campaigned for UDA aspirant Mr Kachapin who is aspiring to be the next governor of West politics after the current sitting governor Hon John Lonyangapuo.
The deputy president ashared in Kachapin Saying he will be the next governor of West Pokot since he is using a party which will meet the needs of the people of West Pokot. During the rally, lonyangapul was slammed by many speakers saying he is betraying the the kalenjin community by turning down support for the deputy president and his party United Democratic Alliance. Recently the governor is alleged to have facilitated the extraction and burning of party symbols (wheelbarrows) in the region. Kipchumba Murkomen took the lead in criticising the governor saying he is only the professor of Mathematics and not politics.
Mr Kachapin is expected to go head on against lonnyangapuo on the next elections. If the people of West Pokot will agree with the deputy president then Kachapin may become the governor
