Raila Odinga and his Azimio supporters have staged 20th Monday as a day of demonstrations over high cost of living among kenyans. Raila told his supporters that, the scheduled date will be a holiday for them, and that they cannot attend to work and at the same time do the demonstrations. In addition, Raila wants the subsidies back as he believes through this, prices to basic commodies will go down.
As they look forward for the scheduled date, Nairobi county senator Edwin Sifuna has told President William Ruto and the Deputy president Rigathi Gachagua that, "Should anything happen to Raila Odinga or any member of the Azimio Coalition, Rigathi Gachagua and William Ruto will be held responsible. We have confirmed that this is a regime built on elimination of political opponents." As quoted from a tweet tweeted by K24TV on their tweeter account.
