Details have now emerged revealing who might have facilitated Cherera and other 3 commissioners to distance themselves from the results that were declared by IEBC chairperson Wafula Chebukati after the August polls.
Led by commission's Deputy chairperson Julian Cherera, Francis Wanderi, Irene Masit and Justus Abonyo took the decision to disown the results that were declared by the commission's chair, saying that it was mishandled at its final stages.
The four commissioners even saw it wise to hold a parallel conference at Serena hotel during the same time Wafula Chebukati was declaring the president elect at the national tallying center in Bomas Nairobi.
And according to the information now given by IEBC amongst the reasons why they reached the decision to relieve Deputy Chief Executive Officer Ruth Kulundu of her duties, the commission now explains that Miss Ruth facilitated the fallout.
In their laters to the Deputy CEO, IEBC is asking Kulundu to explain the reasons why she decided to facilitate the other the four commissioners who distanced themselves from the results to hold a meeting behind the commission's chair Wafula Chebukati and CEO Hussein Marjani.
